Consultative Meeting Between Karatina University (KarU) And Hombe Community Forest Association (HOMBE CFA)

Karatina University held a consultative meeting with Hombe CFA at the Town Annex boardroom, School of Business on 11th January, 2021. The meeting started at 12pm to 2pm. Hombe CFA has 1864 members.

The meeting was a follow-up to a request by Hombe CFA to partner with KarU on environmental conservation and income generating activities. Hombe CFA is keen on KarU supporting them in rehabilitation of forest, fish farming enhancement, tree nurseries training and management, research on pests and diseases affecting the forest plants, development of a recreation trail, setting up of a camp site, bee keeping enhancement farming, website development and development of a management plan. It was agreed upon that the two teams would schedule another meeting in February 2021.
